Scam!! Claim that we placed an order for their products after one of their sales reps called. No order was placed and they refuse to cancel the order - THAT WAS NEVER PLACED!

Customer service called claiming they HAD to speak to the employee their sales rep spoke to in order to cancel order. Asked for sales rep to call me back but they refused. Told them there was no order placed, don't ship anything or invoice anything.

US Standard Products - Scammers

Same as everyone else. I received a random call from someone claiming to be with US Standard Products stating that we had purchased from them in the past and they wanted to send a free gift for our patronage.

I told them "sure, who doesn't like a free gift". They asked to verify the address, then they asked for a PO. I asked why they needed a PO and the guy said that their shipping dept needs a PO to process the shipment. I should have known better, but i gave him a PO.

Then he says that he would like to send us a "care package" with some safety glasses and marking paint. I said "ok, sounds good". At no point was any purchase discussed or agreed. I received the glasses and paint within a couple of days, but none of the other "free gifts" that were discussed.

Then a month later we receive a bill for over $600. I can go to Home Depot and buy the same stuff for $80.

Now i'm trying to return the items as they are still in the un-opened boxes, but US Standard Products will not respond by phone call or email. Scammers, how are businesses like this allowed to stay open.

This is the address that we returned the items to: US Standard Products 6510 North West 21st Avenue Ft Lauderdale, Fl 33309 (2**) **4-8300 Be sure to include a copy of the invoice in the return package. Also, mail it in a method that you can track, or even require a signature. Otherwise they'll claim that they never received it and refuse a refund.

Do not pay the invoice and return the package(s) to 41 Honeck St., Englewood, NJ 07631 or 6510 NW 21st Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309. They will tell you over the phone that due to Covid policy they can not receive returns but paperwork nor website states that, just a scam to try to make you pay.

That company is listed as a shipping scammer on BBB and other websites. Lies and deception to make you feel obligated into getting ripped off.

Only time I fell for it, the sales person went so far as to say he'll have to get his collections department involved but also offered a 60% discount. Shipped it all back and no more phone calls.

Not sure how they get my cell number but they shipped out product and I've been asking for a return address, and they claim it's outside the return period. Thank you for posting these addresses.

I was scammed

Ive been a construction field superintendent for 19 years. Started with a new company last fall and was breaking ground on a new project when USSP contacted me via my company cell. At the time I was fielding several calls a day from vendors, legitimate vendors that my new employer had trusted, lasting relationships with. While very busy mobilizing and getting this new project of the ground I get the call. The salesperson wanted to know who my favorite football team was and if I ever attended professional sporting events. I was going to be the recipient of authentic jerseys and or great seats at my favorite teams next game. They were calling just to verify my order for caution and danger tape and led on as though they were just RE-filling a standard order. Like I said, at the time I was getting several calls a day from vendors and receiving deliveries almost on a daily basis. USSP used phrases like Do You Just Want The Usual or Same as Last Time or Did you need anything else added to this shipment. Its not unusual for a project manager to have accounts set up for me prior to project start up. Particularly in remote areas. Which this job was. Well they got me. Now the Vice President of the company that I work for wants to know why the **** I ordered $2,600 worth of caution/danger tape. Before I was able to isolate the shipment, my men had opened boxes and used several rolls of this tape. My only advice on this subject and these opportunistic SOBs is: If they call, hang up. They supposedly have recorded conversations with me verifying shipment and payment. Im now possibly looking at payroll deductions to pay for this mistake. So if you see someone on the side of the road pedaling caution/danger tape please stop and buy a roll. Ill need to recuperate the money!

Bait & Switch Marketing Tactics

"Tommy" called me with a whole story of how they tried to send me marketing materials and it was returned so he needed my correct shipping address. Then we talked about sports.

Finally - 15 min later - he asked me what I used for floor dry and hand towels in my shop. With in 2 minutes he said "It was nice talking to you. Take down this address so you recognize it when it comes in the mail." Meaning I'm submitting an order and this will be your invoice.

I quite bluntly said "I am NOT placing an order and I am not accepting anything from you." To which he proceeded to plea and whine and basically beg offering to delay billing for 45 days just to make the sale. I don't respect people like this and will NEVER do business with US Standard Products again.

Scammers!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This company called our main office and asked for our maintenance supervisor. This was an unsolicited call and they are not one of our vendors.

Unfortunately, they were able to reach our maintenance supervisor and proceeded to tell him an order we made was returned and they needed to verify the address. He mentioned that they made small talk and joked about Donald Trump and said they would send hats as a gift when the sent back the 'order'.

A little while later a large box was delivered to our corporate office. We determined we did not order the supplies in the box, so when we contacted the company and they refused to send a return label. Upon further research of the packing slip and the contents, they included a 50 lb 5 gallon tub of "Consumer Commodity 5 GAL Brilliant APC" which was not delivered (it wouldn't have fit in the box) but we were charged $299.75 for the non existent item.

We told them they can come and pick up the box because we were not going to pay to send something back that we did not order,

They then sent us an invoice totalling $989.67 for a case of aerosol cans, 2 cases of hand towels and the non-existent 5 gallon tub of Brilliant APC.

They have been calling and sending demand letters for payment ever since.

We have been steadfast in requiring a return label for shipping.

They are welcome to come and pick up the items that were delivered at any time, but to date, they have not.

Today I finally thought to check BBB and lo and behold...There they were with an F rating and a long list of similar complaints.

Would this be an FBI case since they are scamming from across state lines? One has to wonder.

FYI, US Standard Products, I know you read reviews here, please pick up your products.

WE DIDN'T ORDER THEM.

WE DON'T WANT THEM. WE WON'T PAY A DIME TO SHIP THEM.

WE ARE NOT WORRIED ABOUT YOU RUINING OUR CREDIT BECAUSE WE DID NOT APPLY FOR CREDIT WITH YOU.

We have a big enough office that they will sit in a corner until you decide to come get them.

In the meantime, I am filing a complaint with the BBB to add to the long list of complaints.

US Standard Products is a Scam

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Aug 22, 2017

Oh, by the way. Unless your company pays the initial exorbitantly priced invoice for products that you can purchase for about 1/16 of price, you're never going to receive any gifts. As a matter of fact you won't receive any gifts most likely until your company agrees...

Original review Aug 22, 2017
I was contacted by a sales representative from US Standard Products the other day. I knew it was a scam company because I dealt with a similar company years ago and I got into a lot of trouble.

This company contacts you as the purchasing agent and says that they were out there to see you a while ago but missed your connection. As an apology, they tell you they're coming back out to see you in our going to take you out to a nice lunch or dinner, in addition, they're going to send you out some gifts, most often sports memorabilia. Does this sound familiar? Once they get buddy buddy with you on the phone then they tell you all they're going to do today is send you out some Degreaser or safety goggles and then eat your purchase order number or authorization.

They tell you to keep the gift that they're going to send you between you and the salespeople so no one else has to know about it. When your company that's paying the exorbitant bills on products that you can purchase at one 16th of the price, and they find out that it's you that's pending tens of thousands of company dollars and you're getting kickbacks from US Standard products, chances are you going to get fired and brought up on conspiracy charges to defraud the company that you're working for. That's what happened to me A few years ago. Anytime any company has two perk you the buyer in order to do business with you should send millions of red flags up automatically.

They have telemarketers working for them all day long just dialing and trying to find the suckers or players out there that want to come up quick on the company's dime.

Don't fall for this ***. You'll end up hating your life.

these guys are up and running with a new way in,. They say that they have a package that was returned and they need to speak to the manager and they would get it ironed out.

I told them i could handle it and the guy asked my name(which like a bone head I gave him) and if they could give me the package specs, tracking numbers or something on the package, I could find out what was going on.. That guy transferred me over to another guy who started his speal about sending me a KC Chiefs jersey , that was conveniently returned to them, and he wanted to get that back out to me.

Whatever you do don't say the word "YES". Once I realized this was a scam I told them no thanks and hung up.

Guest

I had the same thing happen to me however would not give a PO and said if they wanted to send free samples they are welcome to do it. Guess I'm not going to see those Super Bowl tees and caps Kara Miller said she was sending. Lol.

Guest

Just received the same call however i told them I needed nothing. Glad to know it's a scam.

Guest

Got the same call from a Kara Miller from USSP at 844-877-****. Saying that my company had treated them well and that they had attempted to send some Patriots merch to us but it got returned.

Same story, they're gonna resend it and said that she wanted to meet next month and she was going to take me out to eat or leave some gift cards if it was to risky during the pandemic. She asked about a PO# and I told her to use the date and also asked if I had a cel # and I told here to just call my place of business again. Very friendly and sounded overly outgoing. She was really talking to the wrong person because I don't handle that kind of stuff with clients but somehow she happened to have my name when she called.

Very fishy. Something that did tip me off from the beginning is that I started to talk with someone on the phone who sounded like they knew what they were calling about then need to transferred to "Karra" who somehow knew more than the original caller.

Yup, probably a scam. 08/12/20.

Guest

Just got the call - Same story. SCAM still active.

Lady offered me a gift card, a t shirt for my husband and said she would stop by to visit us and wanted to take me to drinks and steak, tried to sell me gloves "just so we can keep the account active and i can go and take you for lunch". 10/24/2019

Bettyjane Ffx

They call me and ask to send some gloves and safety glasses I did not give any PO. They FedEx them without a PO or invoice. Don't see how they can collect?????

Guest

Scam still active - 8/21/19...

Just received a voicemail from "Alana" with "shipping" about a priority overnight package, and that I needed to call her back to receive it. Called her back because we are waiting on a overnight delivery for a piece of equipment, and spoke with someone else who answered.

Mentioned the voicemail and he 'looked up' my delivery and when I asked what it was and who from he said them.

Then he proceeded to tell me he is with US Standard and that the package was from them and was Redskins memorabilia. Hung up on him - fell for something like this early in my career, didn't bite me to hard but learned my lesson.

Guest

They called 6/11/19 for the owner. I said he's not in, they said they needed his cell phone again since the package they delivered was returned.

I asked what company and they said USSP (US Standard Products). I informed them that the owner would not have ever contacted them, as I am the one who does any shipping needs. I refused to give my name. They insisted that he must have done business with them in the past, but I informed them that this is a small company and I have been here for 25 years, so I am positive that the owner did not ever do business with them and it was an obvious scam.

The owner has me do everything. I then informed them that our little office, does not do large shipments ever. That we do not even have a product to move or a safety department, so I'm 110% sure we have never used them. He kept denying it saying he just wanted to send out a t-shirt for loyal local customers (we aren't even local).

He claimed he was new (this was the supervisor) and we must have been clients. He said he would email the owner...

good luck with that. Can't scam a small business, especially when I screen all the calls and emails.

Guest

I was just scammed with this. I am BRAND new at my company so when they called to confirm the address, because a package had been returned I gave them the address.

They proceeded to send me a box of safety equipment UNDER MY NAME!! when it came in, someone else signed for the box at the door, now I have these products, didn't order them or need them and have to discuss with upper management on how to cover the cost of the REDICULOUS invoice. could cost me my job.

He name was Whitney and then Kara Miller, glad I wrote down their names. YOU ARE RUINERS.

SCAMMER

Called asking for a manager as they had a package that was returned. A bit pushy (I could also hear all the background noise from all the other callers). This was a new scam to me, but none the less, my guard was up. Caller ID read Berlin NH..always a red flag when just the town and state show. US Standards and USSP are not familiar to me. I placed her on hold while I researched this and she hung up.

SCAM - HANG UP ON US STANDARD PRODUCTS

I just got a call from them this morning 11/20/18 - now that I read these posts I think we got toner from them a year ago or more for 3-4 times what the normal price is on the invoice. They spoke to our receptionist, asked a few questions and took that as an approval to send the *** product.

Today they tried to send a "free" sports shirt. I should have hung up much sooner than I did.... they better not try to pull the same *** they did last time....

pathetic that some people end up resorting to this....last time I sent the package back refusing it and it worked out, but that it such a headache and I do not have time for that again..... they should be taken down for this ***

Called from a fake local number 910-405-**** and talked REAL fast about needing to talk to our operations manager/shipping manager of the plant. We are a small metal shop and no "operations" manager, so I asked what the call was about.

She said they tried to deliver a package to the business but it was returned. When I asked who the package was from and what the tracking number was, she transferred me to Dean who begin his introduction with a joke about Trump. Really? When I asked what the tracking number was he said he'd have to call me back.

I asked him, "Please do not call, again." I believe that covers me regarding the "DO NOT CALL LIST" request. We'll see.

Machele Imf

You might wish to make sure anyone who answers the phone does not give out any info other than basic stuff. If you receive a product in the mail that you know you did not order then you are under no obligation to pay for it.

If the package has not been opened, just write "refused, return to sender" and deposit it with your local post office and it will be returned, free to the sender. If opened, you are still not obligated to pay for it.

Ignore any bills and if they call you demanding payment, tell them you didn't order this stuff; we will not pay your invoice; and if you want it back, send a postage free label and we will do so. The bottom line is that businesses have to have good, solid employees who have some common sense so scam artists cannot take advantage of you.
